Toddy Anyone?

I thought it would be the perfect time of year to consider the bar . . .

Whether you have a wet bar . . .

A simple niche . . .

Or . . .

OK, let's be honest.  You can add a bar anywhere in your home.
Just make it a convenient place where your guests feel comfortable helping themselves to a "freshen up."

Bar carts are fun.

But certainly not required.

Talk about a serious cocktail hour!

This one I love.  It looks like an IKEA bookshelf, turned on it's side and filled to the brim with glassware.

Of course, no self-respecting post on bars is complete without this picture (I know you have seen it hundreds of times, but look again, please)

If all these pictures are making you wonder what a proper bar needs to include - here is a great article on a bar set up for a large party or just a visit from the neighbors.

And lastly, I thought this was an interesting video on a bar area.  They
have a high/low comparison with a detailed discussion of how to create the look in each.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday.  Who's with me?! M.

  1. Fun - love bars - they offer such a great opportunity for interesting vignettes - even if it's only temporary!!

  2. I am going to look at a vintage bar cart this weekend at a store I found online-can't wait!

  3. I love the idea of using a bar cart as an end table as well!

Thank you for thoughts on my post! M.
